Clarkson
David Leggio is a former professional goaltender. Leggio played college hockey at Clarkson University before transitioning to a professional career. Leggio was not drafted into the NHL but signed as a free agent with the Buffalo Sabres in 2010. He made his NHL debut with the Sabres during the 2010-2011 season. Leggio primarily played in the American Hockey League (AHL), where he had notable success with the Rochester Americans and the Hershey Bears, earning multiple AHL All-Star selections and the AHL Goaltender of the Year award in 2012. Leggio also had stints with other teams, including the Charlotte Checkers and the Genève-Servette HC in Switzerland. He retired from professional hockey in 2018. His career is remembered for his strong performances in the AHL and his contributions as a reliable goaltender in various leagues.
