NHL Custom Collaborations
Second String has now partnered with NHL teams to build some amazing and exclusive products. Check out our ongoing work below!
Seattle Kraken Collaboration
We partnered with The One Roof Foundation and the Seattle Kraken to do an incredible set of exclusive wallets made from Joey Daccord’s and Philipp Grubauer’s True goalie pads. These wallets were made for the start of the 2024/25 season for their foundation and the response was incredible. We also made several putter covers made from Jordan Eberle’s and Jared McCann’s player gloves as well. Such a special project to be a part of!
NY Islanders Collaboration
We had the opportunity to do several exclusive New York Islanders putter covers for the Islanders annual golf outing presented by UBS and benefitting the Islanders Children’s Foundation which was held at the exclusive Glen Oaks Club in Old Westbury, New York. Made from gloves worn by Brock Nelson and Ryan Pulock, these putter covers came out incredible for their event!
Red Wings Collaboration
We had the opportunity to do several exclusive Detroit Red Wings putter covers for the Hockeytown Authentics store located inside Little Caesars Arena. Made from David Perron’s CCM gloves and Michael Rasmussen’s Warrior gloves, these two blade putter covers came out great for some lucky Detroit fans!
NASHVILLE PREDATORS AND PREDS FOUNDATION
We partnered yet again with the Preds Foundation and the Nashville Predators to do an incredible set of exclusive wallets made from Yaroslav Askarov goalie pads. These wallets were made during the 2nd half of the 2023/24 season. The bold yellow stitching and rugged gray leather used is synonymous with Smashville hockey fans, dedicated and tough just like the city of Nashville!
Ville Husso
Detroit Red Wings
We are excited to partner with Hockeytown Authentics and the Detroit Red Wings to do our second exclusive collection which was available during the home opener of the 2023/24 hockey season inside Little Caesars Arena. This collection featured goalie pads and a glove worn by Detroit Red Wings starting goalie Ville Husso.
Johan Hedberg
Atlanta Thrashers
Our staff at Second String was thrilled to help out in making former NHL superstar goaltender Johan Hedberg a surprise birthday present from his gloves used during his time with the Atlanta Thrashers. Super cool project as his close friend reached out to us to make these special pieces for Johan during the summer of 2023.
Nashville Predators and Preds Foundation
We partnered once again with the Preds Foundation and the Nashville Predators to do an incredible set of exclusive wallets made from Juuse Saros and David Rittich gear which was available during the 2022/23 hockey season at Bridgestone Arena. This collection launched during the 2nd half of the season and was again a major hit with the fans in Nashville!
Detroit Red Wings and Hockeytown Authentics
We partnered with Hockeytown Authentics and the Detroit Red Wings to do an exclusive collection which was available during the 2021/22 hockey season at Little Caesars Arena. This collection featured many past Red Wing goaltenders such as Howard, Griess, Bernier, Coreau and Pickard. The pieces came out incredible and were well received by the fans of Hockeytown.
Nashville Predators And Preds Foundation
We partnered with the Preds Foundation and the Nashville Predators to do an exclusive Pekka Rinne wallet collection which was available during the 2021/22 hockey season at Bridgestone Arena. This collection launched during Pekka’s jersey retirement ceremony on February 24, 2022 and was a hit with the fans in Nashville!
LA Kings
After several months of collaborating, design and production, we teamed up with the LA Kings to produce products for their Team LA Store inside Crypto.com Arena for the start of the 2022/23 season. These products were specifically made for the LA Kings and were made using Cal Petersen's equipment made by Vaughn Custom Sports.
Blackhawks CEO
We had an incredible opportunity to work alongside current Chicago Blackhawks CEO Danny Wirtz with our Custom Program Series. These are his Brian’s goalie pads from his time at Loyola Academy where he won a High School State Championship in 1995 in Illinois.
