Anthony Stolarz is a current National Hockey League. Stolarz was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the second round, 45th overall, of the 2012 NHL Draft. Known for his size (6’6”) and athletic ability, he provides an imposing presence in net, using his reach and quick reflexes to cover a lot of space. Stolarz’s path to the NHL has been marked by both impressive performances and injury setbacks. After a strong junior career in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the London Knights, he began his pro career with the Flyers’ AHL affiliate, the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He made his NHL debut with the Flyers in 2016, becoming the first New Jersey-born goalie to play for the team. After some years with the Flyers, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks and Florida Panthers were he won a Stanley Cup during the 2023/24 season with the Panthers, Stolarz was recently traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs were he will be looked upon to add stability in goal for the Leafs.
