Juuse Saros is a current National Hockey League goaltender. On January 5th, 2023, Saros 2013 NHL Entry Draft, Saros is considered by many as one of the best goaltenders in the NHL. As his NHL career was starting, he served as Pekka Rinne’s backup and was able to learn from his mentor. As Rinne grew closer to retirement, Saros began to take over the starting goalie duties for the Predators during the 2019-20 season. On January 5th, 2023, Saros made a franchise record 64 saves in a 5-3 Predators win over the Carolina Hurricanes. On July 1st, 2024, Saros signed a 8 year ($61.92 million) contract extension that will expire during the 2032/33 season.
