Cayden Primeau is a current National Hockey League goaltender with the Toronto Maple Leafs. Originally drafted by the Montreal Canadiens in 2017, he starred at Northeastern University, earning the Mike Richter Award as NCAA’s top goalie. Primeau has split time between the NHL and AHL, where he excelled with the Laval Rocket, winning AHL Goaltender of the Month and the Harry “Hap” Holmes Award in 2025. Primeau was recently claimed off waivers by the Toronto Maple Leafs on October 5th, 2025 to add proven depth to the crease in the Toronto organization.
