Matt Murray is a current National Hockey League goaltender for the Seattle Kraken. Murray was drafted (83rd overall) by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Murray quickly rose through the ranks, making his NHL debut in 2015 and helping the Penguins capture back to back Stanley Cup championships in 2016 and 2017. Murray is recognized for his strong positioning, calm presence in net, and clutch playoff performances, which earned him widespread acclaim as one of the league’s top young goaltenders during his peak years.
