Chris Driedger is a current professional goaltender under contract with the Winnipeg Jets. Driedger was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the third round of the 2012 NHL Draft. After developing through the AHL and earning limited NHL time with Ottawa, Driedger revitalized his career with the Florida Panthers, posting strong numbers and recording a shutout in his first start of the 2019–20 season. His success led to being selected by the Seattle Kraken during their 2021 expansion. Despite a major ACL injury suffered with Team Canada at the 2022 World Championship, Driedger worked his way back into pro action, returning to the NHL and AHL before later signing overseas in the KHL this season. Known for his athletic 6’4” frame and steady presence in net, Driedger has built a reputation as a reliable, hard-working goalie with a strong comeback story.
