Joel Hofer is a current National Hockey League goaltender playing for the St. Louis Blues. Drafted in the fourth round, 107th overall, by the Blues in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, Hofer made his NHL debut in 2021 and has steadily grown into a key part of St. Louis’s crease. Standing 6′5″, Hofer has combined size with athleticism to carve out increased playing time, and in recent seasons has even challenged for a regular starting role in the Blues’ net. He’s posted multiple shutouts and signed a contract extension to remain a core piece of the team’s goaltending tandem. Known for his steady play and ability to rise to the occasion, Hofer is considered one of the more promising young goaltenders in the NHL.
