Felix Potvin is a former National Hockey goaltender who played 14 season in the National Hockey League. Drafted 31st overall in the 1990 NHL Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs, Potvin got his start in the NHL during the 1992/93 season when he played in 48 games, compiled a 2.50 GAA (1st in the NHL) and a .910% for the Leafs. Potvin's rapid development and aggressive style of play made him an iconic goaltending figure in the 1990’s. Know for his nickname “The Cat”, Potvin became a household name in the NHL during his NHL career and his equipment, goalie helmet paint job and style of play were always emulated by many goalies growing up during this era of goaltending.
Brian’s Custom Sports was originally founded by Sonny Stomp and Brian Heaton in a small sporting goods store in Kingsville, Ontario in 1984. Brian’s immediately became a leading Canadian manufacture of custom built goalie equipment in the hockey industry.
