Sean Burke is a former National Hockey League goaltender who played 18 years in the NHL with the New Jersey Devils, Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes, Vancouver Canucks, Philadelphia Flyers, Florida Panthers, Phoenix Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightening and the Los Angeles Kings. Drafted in the 2nd round in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft, Burke made a name for himself early on when he helped the Canadian National Jr. Team capture a silver medal in the 1986 World Jr. Hockey Championships along with a 4th place finish with the Canadian Men’s National Team in the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. Over the years, Burke was considered a high profile goalie, providing a strong net presence no matter which team he played on. Since retiring from the NHL, he has spent time as an Assistant GM and Goalie Coach for the Phoenix Coyotes and is currently the Director of Goaltending for the Vegas Golden Knights.
