Rick DiPietro is a former National Hockey League goaltender who was selected #1 overall in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders. The highly touted DiPietro played only 1 season at the NCAA level for the Boston University Terriers. After winning numerous accolades at the collegiate level which included team MVP, All Rookie Team and Hockey East’s Rookie Of The Year, DiPietro made the jump to professional hockey. After spending all of his professional career with the New York Islanders, a slew of injuries costed DiPietro his playing career which ended during the 2013/14 season. Since retiring from hockey, DiPietro has found a new passion, radio. A co-host on the ever popular Humpty, Canty and Rothy show which is on daily on ESPN Radio 98.7 FM brings listeners an amazing look at sport and news topics on a daily basis.
