Alexandar Georgiev is a current National Hockey League goaltender with the Colorado Avalanche. Never drafted in the NHL, Georgiev made his way to North America and was invited to the New York Rangers developmental camp. After an impressive showing, the Rangers signed Georgiev to a three year entry level contact. Georgiev recorded his first NHL win on March 3rd, 2018, stopping 35 shots when the Rangers beat the Edmonton Oilers 3-2. This past summer, Georgiev was traded to the Colorado Avalanche to become their starting goaltender, signing a 3 year deal worth $10.2 million.
