Petr Mrazek is a current National Hockey League goaltending for the Chicago Blackhawks. Drafted in the 5th round in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Detroit Red Wings, Mrazek has grown into an elite NHL goaltender with the Hurricanes. Mrazek made a name for himself early on in his career when he backstopped the Czech Republic in the 2012 World Jr. Hockey Championships to the quarterfinals. Named the IIHF Top Goaltender in the tournament, it helped launch Mrazek’s professional career in the American Hockey League and eventually making his way into the Detroit Red Wing’s lineup on a regular basis in 2014-15 season. Since then, Mrazek has played for the Detroit Red Wings, Philadelphia Flyers, Carolina Hurricanes and is currently apart of the Chicago Blackhawks organization.
