Jake Allen is a current National Hockey League goaltender with the Montreal Canadiens. Allen was drafted 34th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the St. Louis Blues. In 2019, Allen won the Stanley Cup serving as Jordan Binnington’s backup while the Blues went on a magical cup run that season. On September 2, 2020, Allen was traded to the Montreal Canadiens. With Carey Price getting injured, it opened the door for Allen to take over and establish himself as the starter in Montreal. His hard work paid off on October 1, 2022, as the Canadiens signed Allen to a two year contact extension, locking him up till then end of the 2024-25 season.
