Jason Bacashihua is a former National Hockey League goaltender. Drafted in the 1st round, 26th overall in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars, Bacashihua went on to have an outstanding professional career in the minors playing a handful of years in the AHL. In 2012, Bacashihua signed in Europe to play in the DEL for the Straubing Tigers. A major highlight in Bacashihua’s career was in the 2016/17 season while playing for the HC 05 Banska Bystrica where he helped his team win the Championship while leading the league with a 2.05 GAA. After the 2021/22 season with the Manchester Storm of the EIHL, Bacashihua retired from professional hockey and is now currently coaching back in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan.
was originally founded by Sonny Stomp and Brian Heaton in a small sporting goods store in Kingsville, Ontario in 1984. The Brian’s factory is still located in Kingsville, Ontario and still supplies some of the best goalies in North America with equipment to this day. Over the years, Brian’s has supplied a large number of well established NHL goaltenders such as, Felix Potvin, Trevor Kidd, Sean Burke, Garth Snow, Ed Belfour and more recent NHL goalies like Craig Anderson, Jaroslav Halak, Antti Raanta, Robin Lehner and Thatcher Demko. Over the years, numerous goaltenders of all ages have looked to Brian’s Custom Sports to give them a unique look to separate themselves from others which truly has made Brian’s the King Of Custom in the goalie community.
