Byron Dafoe is a former National Hockey League goaltender. Drafted 35th overall by the Washington Capitals in 1989, Dafoe went on to play 12 seasons in the NHL with the Capitals, Los Angeles Kings, Boston Bruins and Atlanta Thrashers. After retiring from the NHL, Dafoe went on to start Athletes Against Autism with fellow NHL players Scott Mellanby and good friend Olaf Kolzig.
