Daren Puppa is a former National Hockey League goaltender. Drafted 74th overall in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft, Puppa went on to have a 15 year NHL career with some the Buffalo Sabres, Toronto Maple Leafs and the Tampa Bay Lightning. Puppa made a name for himself in 1985 when he won a NCAA Championship with the RPI Engineers. Over the years, Puppa consistent play made him a household name in the 80’s and 90’s. Puppa retired from the NHL during the 1999-00 season as his lingering shoulder and back injuries just became too much.
