Jimmy Howard is a retired National Hockey League goaltender that played his entire 14 year pro career within the Detroit Red Wings organization. Drafted in the 2nd round by the Red Wings in 2003, he attend the University of Maine for 3 years before officially signing pro with the Red Wings before the 2005/06 season. Howard quickly became a successful goaltender in the pro ranks with the Grand Rapids Griffins of the American Hockey League. With his recent retirement from the game in 2021, Howard established himself as a premiere goaltender in the NHL over the years and played over 500 games in the NHL.
